Golfing Holidays
Bonalba Golf Course is an 18 hole, par 72 course with a total length of 6,367m (approximately 7,000 yards). It has a variety of vegetation, lakes and water hazards. These, together with a great number of bunkers makes it an interesting challenge for both amateur and professional golfers.
Designed by Ramón Espinosa, it was opened in October 1995 and receives more than 60,000 players each year, and has hosted local and national golfing events.
The outward nine holes are quite technical, requiring the golfer to avoid three of the five lakes that the course enjoys. These lakes play an important role in five of the outward nine. The final three holes are known to local golfers as the "Amen Corner".
There's no respite on the inward nine either. The strong breeze from Levante requires golfers to use a stronger stroke to reach the green, especially on the last three holes where the breeze appears head-on.
Away from the course, there is a cafeteria, restaurant, pro-shop and practice area. Lessons are also available. A spa and water park has recently opened and is great for adults and children alike. Please note that a handicap certificate is required.
Our superbly appointed three bedroom villa is just a 20 minute walk from the course.
