San Juan
Ten km from Alicante, towards the north is the Beach of San Juan, a semi-urban tourist centre, of which the sand is very fine and golden.
It is a windy beach and of moderate surge. With a Blue Flag Environmental award granted by its clean beaches and respect by the medio.ambiente.
The access from Alicante is made through the local highway A-190. With service of urban buses numbers 21 and 22.
It can also be accessed via the FGV (Railroads of the Valencian Generalita) that makes the Alicante-Denia passage. It also has Alicante's main Naval station.
The Beach of San Juan is 7 km in length. It extends from the Cabo of the Orchards to the Beach of Mutxavista.
A very popular tourist centre, with a variety of hotels, restaurants and a nocturnal atmosphere, as well as sport and nautical zones. The beach has toilets, games and Rescue and First Aid services.
